As a child, Lou used to watch her mother, an accomplished painter and sculptor, at work. Her artistic touch and creative approach were further developed when she became an actress. She has been working for more than 10 years both for cinéma and tv, in her native France and abroad. Lou has notably performed in a Woody Allen play at the "Théatre de l'Atelier" in Paris and the English movie "Scenes of a sexual nature".
Lou Sarda started photography following a film shoot in Tokyo. This experience quite literally "opened her eyes" and she described it as a "visual shock".
At the time, the urge of taking pictures became both obvious and necessity.
She began by photographing fellow artists : singers, actors and dancers.
However she rapidly focused on women. Her photographs reveal a subtle understanding of her subjects, their body, their beauty, their fragility, their grace and their soul. Shooting after shooting, Lou Sarda wonders how to find her model's "secret inner child", and she estives to reveal their "wild female self".
